About

I have tons and tons of respect for people that can speak several languages. So, I want to be able to speak several languages as well. It’s a hobby.

I’m Kirk Kittell, and this is my Language Blog. This is how I am documenting my efforts to learn “new” languages. The three languages on which I’m focusing, in order of priority, are: (1) Hindi; (2) Spanish; (3) Punjabi.

In high school (1995-1999), I took four years of Spanish classes, but I have not practiced much since then. Hindi and Punjabi are almost entirely new to me. (I say almost since I spent a few hours a week in spring 2006 learning the Hindi alphabet and a few words, but nothing significant.) In other words, I am not qualified to teach any of these languages. This is a learning blog, not a teaching blog. If you learn something, great, but I encourage you to be skeptical of what you see here. You get what you pay for. There may be errors.

If you find any errors, or want to contact me, please see kirkkittell.com/about. Thanks for visiting. Subscribe to the RSS feed if you want to keep up with future posts.
